I think I write complicated stories

I think that I write stories that have very complicated plots, lots of little puzzle pieces that I work hard to get in the right spots to make the overall picture come out right. I’ve done the first pass on my next story, “My European Summer Vacation” and a lot of it was getting the puzzle pieces in the right spot, adding missing pieces and shaping others so that they’ll fit correctly.

Some of that is because I’m a big believer in “show, don’t tell” and some of it is because I like my stories to start with the brother and sister not remotely considering having sex with their sibling. In my stories, they get a little closer, then a little closer, then ever more closer so that they’re so close that they’re considering the unthinkable. I try to foreshadow each step, so it doesn’t seem outlandish. As a result, I have to plot a bunch of little steps, create foreshadowing for each and then get all of that is some reasonable order.

I’ve never been complimented on my plot construction. Is it something readers of porn stories overlook as plot isn’t important to porn? Or am I making a mountain out of a mole hill in that my plots really aren’t as complicated as I’d like to thing they are?

Plans for “Cycling Weekends with Sis”

ekheil left a comment yesterday:

i hope u continue writing the riding bike with sister that was great hope ur write other parts

I have an idea for a sequel. It’s somewhere on my list of stories to write. “Cycling Weekends with Sis” was one of my first stories and I’ve learned a lot about writing since then. When I do write the sequel, I’ll revise “Cycling Weekends with Sis” to bring it up to my standards, delete the old version and publish the new version, then publish the sequel.
